Another great meeting everyone!
We started out with a group warmup, then a group lesson about Meyer’s Square, then we broke into small groups where members were able to do Meyers drills, Sword Pell, one on one instruction, and Partner drills. Then we moved to some light sparring and an edge alignment demonstration and workshop at the cutting station.
Everybody steadily picked up the movements while doing Meyers Square and began to understand the fundamentals of the European longsword. Home practice always helps tremendously and this was demonstrated by some of our members today when they entered the sparring ring.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone our here again on our next Meeting on May the 4th! (There may be a small lightsaber workshop involved, stay tuned).
